mdn.mainichi.jp/mdnnews/news/20090311p2a00m0na006000c.htmlI've never understood it, but i've seen a statue of Colonel Sanders in at least 2 different anime. At least one was a horror sequence where the statue was, I think, sort of wobbling toward whoever was dreaming. Perfect Blue maybe? Now if I could only get my goat into Wrigley...

XD Whaaat?! Thats so crazy. Those fans must have been REALLY drunk to see any resemblance.
Reminds me of the halloween club meeting we had, watched that anime and that girl was in the junkyard and she found the colonel but couldnt get him out.

I don't think it's Perfect Blue, but I'd need to re-watch it to be absolutely sure. I would say Paprika, but I don't think you've seen that one.
Anyway, The Colonel has a long and storied history of randomly showing up in various anime and manga over the years just when you'd least expect him. How he came to occupy such a place in the Japanese collective consciousness is anybody's guess...
... Unless someone has an answer.
