For those who have like the Fallout series: get this game. For those who like the Elder Scrolls series: get this game. They have put the free roaming exploration of the Elder Scrolls and combined it with the story and leveling of the Fallout series. All-in-all, a superb game. Graphics and audio are well done, the NPCs are more than just an icon with some text associated with them, and there are quite a number of ways to complete a quest depending on how you play your character. Combat is quite varied as well with influences from both series. You have your basic fists if you want to go that route, or on the opposite end, you have mini-nukes to completely devastate the area your enemies are in. It's mainly real-time combat like in Elder Scrolls, but there's still the V.A.T.S. system that the Fallout series made great use of. I bought the strategy guide for this game only because of the amount of content it has, and the guide is as big as a dictionary!
If anything, it's fun to find a limb in a gorebag, load it in your rock-it launcher, and shoot someone's limb off (or even head) with the launched arm or leg.

Don't forget my personal favorites, the flamethrower sword aka 'The Shishkabob' and the 'Fat Man' mini nuke launcher.

Iv been playing Fallout 3 at a friends house, the main thing i like about it is that there is alot for me to wonder around and look at, In most games i have the most fun just exploring maps, and this is a pretty dam big map!
