One of my favorite game series of all time is coming to the DS come March 2010! Everyone should buy it! EVERYONE. Here, check it out:

In this game series, you raise monsters for gladiatorial combat. Your monsters are generated through the DS's sound recorder, drawings on the touch screen, and words.
Your monsters do die, but you can retire them before they die of old age. When retired, you can breed them to make younger monsters with more potential and inherited skills from their parents, so your effort on them isn't ever actually wasted.
