Hi! I've visited the Greenwood/VideoBurn forum once in a while just to look and I visit the Greenwood website to see it gone!
What happened to VideoBurn? Is there still a VideoBurn club? New website?

I believe that Videoburn is no more, I can't say when or why since I only went there rarely to never. I'm sure someone else around here would be able to fill you in as to why when they see the topic.

Kinda sucks since they were the first Anime Club :/ I'm really curious as how the club disappeared. It gave UCR more screening time when they were still here ;D

It died due to apathy. On both the people running it and the potential people to take over running it. Anything beyond that is speculation unless told by parties involved.

What Prime said is pretty much true; or rather, those with the inclination to keep the club going had already graduated, and so couldn't. Additionally, while the few people who were attending club who hadn't graduated weren't all bad, none were leadership material. The other thing is that if you're going to have someone run a club, it's best to make sure that person isn't a misanthrope and doesn't loose interest in actually running the club. I feel bad about saying this since the former president is still a good friend, but I have a feeling that if he read this, he'd agree with me. ... and then laugh and brag about how he ran the club into the ground.

I'm sure the founding Greenwood president will be half pleased, if he cared. Man I'm quite surprised that Greenwood has lasted, I personally thought it would have died after Tara took over my post.

What are you trying to say about my leadership ability here exactly? I've actually been in contact with Rob on and off, but I haven't heard from him in the past couple of years or so. I should try to e-mail him again. I still help out with Greenwood since I work on campus now, and I think the club will last a bit longer. The social aspects are what keep the club going these days, since everyone can now watch their anime online.

Yeah... I join in on the festivities when I can. It isn't as much as when I was President. I do try to participate though!
