3/13 Final Meeting Raffle - Ticket Info

In addition to the gaming night, we will be holding a raffle at the end of the meeting for club members to win prizes!

However... in order to earn raffle tickets, you will have to make posts on this forum! Here is how this will work:

For every QUALITY post you make from the time of this posting until 11:59 PM PST on Thursday, March 12th, you will earn 1 raffle ticket.

Also, each poster is limited to making one new thread per day per forum section to receive a raffle ticket. EG: You can post one new thread in the News and Information forum, another in the Anime & Manga Discussions forum, and another in the Video Game lounge all in the same day and earn three raffle tickets total. However, if you post another thread in the Video Game Lounge on the same day, you would NOT earn another raffle ticket to come to four total. You would still have earned three.


So...

What's quality you ask? It is a post that contributes some new information to the forum/thread in question. In other words, "QFT/1st in/LOL/This" postings with no additional information/explanation within will NOT earn you a raffle ticket! However, if you EXPLAIN why you reacted the way you did, that would count as a quality post.

Here's a BAD example: That show totally sucks.

Here's a GOOD example: That show totally sucks... the storyline is completely incoherent the way it jumps haphazardly from scene to scene, the voice acting is TERRIBLE, and while the animation/character designs are decent looking, all of the charas so far are so obnoxious I don't care how cute they are. They drive me nuts!

This will still obviously be a subjective call, but this should give you an idea of what we're looking for. neo1337 will be judging the posts, so make sure you're nice to him!

We will post running tallies of who has accrued how many raffle tickets here. If you have any questions or comments, please post them here. (They can count towards your total!!) Good luck, and happy posting! ^_^

I'm not very good at video games. And since theres no food or anime... ~_~

Don't worry! We'll have a ton of games you don't have to be an expert at to enjoy... that's the beauty of the Wii! So many of the Wii's games level the playing field... ^_^ I betcha you'll like Raving Rabbids, and we'll probably have some kind of contest concerning one of the mini-games in that game too.

And that's one of the reasons we have gaming night too... so some members can try things they normally don't get to. So if you're up to giving some games a try, please come by. You already have a bunch of raffle tickets so you might as well right?

I'm REALLY bad with a wiimote. I cant play wii to save my life. Its my brothers that're good at the video games. My older-younger brother can sit for hours on six stars in GTA and not get killed by the police, and my younger-younger brother can kickass in basketball/football games.

I'll probably wind up sitting and doing nothing the entire time though. D: Maybe I'll bring my comp and watch anime on it in the meantime.

Actually, Sasha's bringing her PS2 DDR, so we will be playing that at gaming night. We'll have two pads too!

And yeah, we just tweeked the member rankings. ^_^ It's better than being a disposable Gundam.

Interesting way to encourage people to use the forums more: the chance to win prizes for putting in more effort in their posting, and the urge to avoid embarrassment for being the one with the least tickets. I'm suddenly feeling more talkative already.

At any rate, what do we have on the list of who is bringing what? I could bring a Wii remote if we are short.
