This is just a feeler, since I know most people will be going home right away for Spring Break. But in case you'll still be in the area, is anyone else interested in going to to LA/Little Tokyo on Saturday, March 21st to go shopping and hang out? If enough people are interested, maybe we can make a mini-GFS trip out of it! Please post here to let us know, thanks!

Sounds interesting. I might be able to convince my family to put off having me around for one more day while I go off on another crazy adventure in the name of Japanese cartoons. Maybe we'll find our way to "Silent Hill" again.

I'll be home for spring break by then, but I might be interested in going. I could probably take the Metrolink into LA since the station is relatively close to Little Tokyo and meet you guys there. I'd have to check with my parents first. (this is Sarah btw)

I'm up for it. It'll be fun driving down there again to see what deals are to be had. Plus there's some more hentai manga I've been wanting to pick up at Frank and Sons.

That reminds me, I still need to look for a decent hug pillow.
At any rate, I just had a thought that having a shopping trip right after finals would leave people too demoralized to go, or make the trip not as fun as it should be. On the other hand, it would probably be a good idea to do something fun before we are devastated by grades coming out. An idea would be to simply wait for some other time mid-quarter after the shock subsides, so we can all go with some semblance of optimism.

My only problem is that I'm not going to be here at all to go because of spring break, and I live in nor-so cal (so it would be like coming back here and then an extra hour drive). Everyone from the resident halls is being kicked out on the 21st, even for Glenmore too I hear. So its kind of inconvenient time to go shopping.
Though I wish everyone has a fun time! Mr Ramen next time!

Considering so few of the club people peruse the forums at all, maybe it would have been better to announce it in the club. But I'm already excited for next quarter's trip.

Since I wanted this to be a mini-trip if a trip at all, no point announcing it to club. Then it'd become too much of an ordeal... didn't want to have to coordinate. And the only reason I offered is because I wanted to go personally, so I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to join me.
That said though, I'm not going to go after all... so if you were interested I apologize. We had too many unexpected expenses this month and we owed taxes, so Michael and I think it'd be best to curtail any trips that involve spending decent amounts of money.

That is a good idea. If you dont have the money to be spending on the trip is better off we dont have it.

Aw, well, good luck on those taxes. (They do say that anime is a more expensive addiction than for any other drug.)
