Just saw Zombieland. Definitely a great movie that everyone should see. Theres a lot of comedy, with some good thrills and action. The romance was a disappointment. The characters were likeable, though they could have done a little better on the girls. I didnt like how they jumped around with the rules, like they had 1-5 and then a 34 and one in the 20's with none in between...Definitely good tips though. Need to do more cardio... I saw Watchmen last week in Pentland. Another great movie, though it blueball'd me. I respected the Comedian in the end since he realized how terrible he was all those years, but is that really less terrible than killing millions of people? I would have preferred that the actual guy who did the books got the journal though. Movies coming up: WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (10/16): f**k yeah! I loved this book. ASTRO BOY (10/23) 2012 (11/13): This movie sounds so ridiculous I cant even believe that people are going to pay money to see it. AND they should have released this movie Dec, 20nd, 2012. SHERLOCK HOLMES (12/25) ALICE IN WONDERLAND (03/05): The mad hatter creeps me out... Also, spoiler tags dont work. Try not to spoil new movies.

*spoiler* this movie is old so I don't feel too bad about some spoilers.
I thought the way watchmen ended was great. Although who should have got their commupence didn't, it ended with peace. I mean come on! How awesome was it to see Russia and America together like that? Thats all I really have to say. I want to see Zombieland, But sadly as far as movies go I barely have time or money lately since school started again.
Although I did see cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and thought that it was very very very hilarious. I recomend it to anyone who was a fan of old school american cartoons. The movie is obviously not realistic but, the way some characters move and react to things is straight out of America's great cartooning past of overextending limbs and facial expressions.
also dreamer are you a Zombie movie fan?

Zombieland is worth paying for.
I think the moral question with that is, is killing millions of people worth world peace? Its a hard choice, really.
28 Days Later is still my favorite zombie movie.

I'm going to go the Utilitarian route (fancy words!) and say that killing a large amount of people justifies, saving all the people. All the people in the world were saved. BUt really it is a hard choice. I don't know why the blonde guy thought he was the one to make decisions about the progress of the world.
anyway, I asked If you were a Zombie movie fan because I wanted to recommend one of my favorites, which is, "Zombie Strippers".
It's kind of bad, but thats why it's good. I really liked it anyway. Oh and "Undead". That one was made in 2003 in Australia and has zombie fish. It's uber hilarious.

Oh I'm definitely looking forward to Sherlock Holmes. Robert Downey Jr. has been making quite a comeback, but he's going to have his work cut out for him to portray the detective of 221B Baker Street. Especially since Jeremy Brett's version of Holmes has become almost iconic. But I'm sure RD Jr will rise to the occasion.

(Sorry for the double post, but this isn't related to what I was talking about previously.)
I just watched The Men Who Stare At Goats and enjoyed it immensely. The amazing thing is that most of the crazy stuff that's described in the movie actually happened, supported and funded by the US Army.
And the best throwaway moment of the movie? Ewan McGregor (a.k.a. young Obi-Wan Kenobi) playing a character who says, "I don't know what a Jedi is!"

Black Sheep has been on my to watch list for a while. I'm not sure If I'm looking forward to sherlock holmes are not. While I do enjoy a god amount Robert Downey, I am not so sure how well he will do as Sherlock. I need to read the original books too. It's something I want to do.

Jude Law's in the new Sherlock Holmes movie?! All right, I'm totally watching it! It'll be nice to see a more action-oriented Sherlock Holmes, since all the British TV series/movies portray him as very cerebral. And since it's Robert Downey Jr, I'm sure Holmes will transform into Iron Man when he gets to the Boss Fight...

I paid $25 for the blu-ray disk. I still see many of the characters, especially the main boy character as whiny emo losers. That girl spending months pining and having nightmares because she liked some boy that moved away- blech. Pointless drama. Get over it or you're not worth me caring about. I understand that these types of characters are meant to be enjoyed mainly by girls and that i'm not the target audience.
*However,* my wife likes this series, so I bought it for her. My disliking of a story doesn't invalidate her liking it. Different preferences, no problem. I can't stand the story, but I got $25 worth of enjoyment (no, not a euphemism) out of her enjoying it.
