So recently I've started to read Dannychoo.com (**some posts are not NSFW**) and it's gotten me even more interested in figures and stuff. I've collected a few randomly over the years but they were usually spur of the moment things or gifts from others. Now after reading his site I've found myself more interested in collecting them and looking to see what's out there that's interesting. My most recent purchase would be this Miku Hatsune FigmaI really enjoy the poseability that Figmas have since you can put them in almost any pose that you could think of, and they also come with a lot of different accessories that you can change as you wish. The detail on this one was about what I was expecting, there seems to be a little bit missing but nothing that would make me dislike it. So it'll keep me entertained for a bit changing the pose and such with her. I'm also thinking about getting this Nendoroid Saber Lion. I've been a fan of Saber since watching the anime and that Nendoroid is just awesome. The final thing that's caught my interest recently would be this. I have no idea what series it's from (if it's even based on a series at all) but I just think it looks incredibly detailed and also just as poseable, if not more so, than a Figma. Although since I have no previous experience with garage kits, and wouldn't want to learn on something that costs $50, I would have to get the pre-assembled one which costs $142, so needless to say it will be a while before I'll be able to afford it. Although since showing that link to a friend they have gone ahead and ordered one for themselves so hopefully I'll be able to see how well it turned out to see if it's actually worth it or not. So how about you all? Do you collect any figures of your favorite characters, are there any figures that you've been trying to find? Or would you rather spend your money on something else?

I just have the two that were passed out in club. The dude is elegantly standing at the end of my power outlet (which is hovering above my desk). If anyone wants a picture of it, I'd be happy to post it. But, I havent really been too interested in figures. I've seen some magnificent ones, but they just dont really appeal to me. I cant resist dolls though. *_*

When I saw the 'doll' link I was half-way expecting something more along the lines of a dollfie. I've always heard those referred to as plushies, or something along those lines. I have one sitting around in a box or something somewhere of Dejiko, from Digi Charat, that I bought on the first club shopping trip way back when that quickly lost my interest and was retired off to the dark recesses of my room.

I have a Sailor Jupiter figure I got in Hong Kong. It comes with a clear plastic stand with a card inside for display on my mantle if only I can remember to go look for it somewhere in the house. Not so much of a figure, but I also have a rubber keychain of Ranpha Franboise I won at a game at the Broccoli booth at Anime Expo 2008. Not so much anime, but my brother has recently started collecting Star Wars figures, mostly battle droids and clone troopers, none of which can stand very well.
I eventually would like to start a figure collection of my own once I figure out where to put them, focusing primarily on Galaxy Angel, Idolmaster, and Warcraft. I'm also thinking of getting a Dejiko hug pillow. I saw it on a commercial, but it was animated so I'm not sure if it actually exists.

Yeah, that's a problem I'm currently running into as well. Right now they're all bunched up on the top of my tower, as you can see in the image in my first post, but as time goes on I'm going to have to invest in some shelves or maybe a display case. Not necessarily a bad thing since I've been wanting some shelf-space for a while now.
Also for anyone who is interested; e2046.com is having a sale on some of their PVC figures.

Figure I would post some pictures of my latest Get: Nendoroid Miku Hatsune. I think the face was the main selling point for me, now I have a physical representation of my forum avatar! (less blurry picture here.) Nendoroids are actually surprisingly articulated and also come with a good amount of accessories as well. Better picture of the faces here. Also if you've been reading the chibi-miku 4koma that I've been posting; I posted that there was a Black Rock Shooter figure that was being released (I already pre-ordered it), well apparently Goodsmile didn't think they had enough Miku already so they went ahead and announced yet another one that they are going to be releaseing soon as well: Where this figure is from: Not as interested in this one but I'll have to see more pictures of it before I make a decision on it.

That looks very nice. How much was it? Around $30 or so from www.otakufuel.com/ . They're actually cheaper than most other sites that I look at and they're also in California so shipping is really quick as well. Plus they have a deal right now where if you order more than $20 you get a free gift, so I also got a free box of Pocky with this order. The only downside is that there selection is a bit more limited than other places, but it seems that they have a lot of the more popular stuff.

Wow. It looks very well done, at least in comparison with the ending theme picture.

Or would you rather spend your money on something else? Until someone makes some awesome Blade of the Immortal or Black Lagoon figures, then yes. Yes I would.

Or would you rather spend your money on something else? Until someone makes some awesome Blade of the Immortal or Black Lagoon figures, then yes. Yes I would. Black Lagoon Revy is around and available from Revoltech, I have one sitting in my case now. www.tmpanime.com/images/medium/kd000001_MED.jpgPersonally I'm dying to get my hands on a Saber Lily Figma from the Japanese special release of Fate/Unlimited Codes for PS2. They run around 100$ on ebay though, so that is way out of my league for what I'm willing to pay. www.shumiya.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/figma_saber-lily03.jpg(I'm a HUGE figure collector, has something to do with their poseability as models from my art days at community college )

Yeah, I've been very tempted to get that as well. Maybe if I don't see anything that strikes me as interesting on the shopping trip I might splurge and get one, if not I'll just have to make due with the Nendoroid version instead whenever it's released. Although speaking of which I still need to get the normal Figma Saber as well.
